(VOVWORLD) -National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue attended the launching ceremony of Youth Month and Spring Tree Planting Festival on Sunday at Truong Bon National Historical Relic Site, Nghe An province.

Chairman Hue applauded the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee for choosing the theme of 2024 as "Year of Youth Volunteers" and theme of Youth Month in March as "Youth Volunteers for Community Life". He requested all levels of the Youth Union to be creative in choosing content, designing and organizing activities to develop Youth Month to a new level.
“It’s imperative to strengthen leadership, direction, guidance and coordination to carry out youth work well. Hold dialogue, listen, trust, and assign tasks to young people. Increase the participation and contribution of children. Help youth have the best opportunities and conditions to practice, strive and grow. Continue to pay attention to, support, create favorable conditions and mechanisms for the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union to well carry out its mission of caring for, educating, fostering and promoting the role of youth in the cause of national construction and defense,” Chairman Hue said.
Responding to the Spring Tree Planting Festival, the NA Chairman requested all levels of unions and youth nationwide to effectively maintain good models and practices in tree planting, forestry, environmental protection and climate change combat. He urged for regular activities to care for and protect trees and preserve a green, clean and beautiful living environment.
On this occasion, National Assembly Chairman Hue gave gifts to village elders, village heads, and prestigious people in the ethnic minority community, former youth volunteers, and disadvantaged students. He presented national maps and flags to grassroots Youth Union organizations.
