(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan’s working trip to the European Parliament (EP) in Belgium is intended to strengthen Vietnam’s comprehensive partnership with the EP and EU member countries, and share experience in legislating individual data protection and joining ILO conventions.
During her visit, Ms. Ngan will discuss human rights, fisheries, forest management, and export of legal wood products from Vietnam to the EU market.
The Chairwoman is scheduled to meet with the Presidents of Belgium’s Chamber of Representatives and Senate, and the Minister – President of Wallonia, to bolster collaboration between the two countries and the two parliaments.
Before her working trip to the European Parliament, on Wednesday, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan visited the aircraft manufacturing factory of Airbus in Toulouse city on Wednesday as part of her official visit to France. She witnessed representatives from budget carrier Vietjet Air receiving their order of A321neo aircraft. The Vietnamese NA Chairwoman’s visit to the Airbus aircraft manufacturing plant illustrates the attention of Vietnamese leaders to the development of the aviation sector, the transfer of technology, and strategic cooperation between the two countries in this industry.
She also attended a launching ceremony for the new Toulouse office of FPT, Vietnam’s biggest software producer.
