(VOVworld) – National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan on Saturday concluded her official friendship visits to Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar. The week-long tour opens new cooperative prospects between the three parliaments and countries.

Nguyen Van Giau, Head of National Assembly’s Committee for External Relations, said Ms. Ngan’s visit to Laos helped strengthen bilateral friendship and cooperation as she had talks and meetings with senior leaders of Laos and co-chaired a workshop on experiences in public debt management.
In Cambodia, the top legislator met the highest ranking leaders and both sides agreed on more effective cooperation for the practical benefits of the two peoples.
In Myanmar, the leaders praised Vietnam’s socio-economic development achievements as a result of the renewal process. They said Myanmar wants to learn experiences from Vietnam’s legislative body.
The Vietnamese delegation made contributions to the success of the 37th General Assembly of ASEAN Inter-parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) held in Myanmar.
