(VOVworld) - National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan left India for the 11th Global Summit of Women Speakers of Parliament in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (UAE) from Sunday to Tuesday. The summit is held to promote female participation in politics, empower girls, and prevent violence against women and children.

This year’s Summit themed “United for Shaping the Future”, will discuss the role of parliaments and women parliament speakers’ involvement in addressing challenges to social progress and prosperity. The event is expected to attract 50 female speakers, who will share their experience and seek to expand the global cooperation network.
On Sunday, National Assembly Chairwoman Ngan visited India’s Bihar State, Bodh Gaya City, before leaving for UAE.
