Working with the provincial leaders in Quang Tri on Saturday, Chairwoman Ngan spoke highly of the province’s festival for peace initiative, which aims to connect cultural and historical centers. The festival will honor value of peace and convey a message of peace loving and spotlight the strong spirit of Quang Tri which was ravaged by the war.

She outlined the political tasks: “The province should thoroughly prepare for the Party congresses at various levels, particularly the congress documents by closely following the guidelines of the Party and the Politburo and apply what are relevant to the real situation in Quang Tri. Resolutions of the Party, National Assembly, government, and provincial Party Committee must be implemented well. Efforts should be made to build a cleaner and stronger Party and political system, focusing on personnel work.”

Later the same day, Chairwoman Ngan offered incense to pay tribute to martyrs at Quang Tri citadel, and visited and presented gifts to heroic Vietnamese mother Nguyen Thi Phuoc and mother of martyr Dang Thi Thu.
