(VOVWORLD) -National Assembly deputies on Wednesday discussed in groups evaluation updates on social economic development and budgeting last year and this year. They held that the government has completed all targets and tasks at the fullest with world recognized pandemic control success while food security has been ensured.

Deputy Ly Van Huan from Thai Nguyen province praised the government and provinces’ effort in social economic development and pandemic control.
"The public appreciate and trust in the Party, State and government’s decision in social economic development, especially the switching of policies from prevention to safe adaptation and effective pandemic control," he said.
Deputies called for more timely deployment of stimulus packages to support people and businesses overcome challenges caused by the pandemic. President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, a member of the National Assembly Delegation representing Ho Chi Minh City, emphasized measures and methods of support for capital flows to businesses, creating jobs, thereby deciding growth.
Nguyen Thanh Hai who heads up the deputy delegation from Long An province said "Public investment capital disbursement should be accelerated with early completion of procedures, especially in national target programs."
Deputies discussed revision to the Law on Cinema, saying that amendment should promote the motion picture industry, especially through international cooperation and co-production.
