(VOVworld) – NA deputies debated the draft law on Sea and Island Resources and Environment on Thursday. They confirmed the necessity of the Law, aiming to enhance the management of marine resources and effective exploitation of the maritime resources.

They suggested recommendations to avoid overlapping regulations with other laws, review the duties of foreign organizations and individuals conducting scientific research in Vietnamese waters, and set out the conditions for foreign organizations and individuals to get research permission.
The same day, the deputies voted to adopt the revised Law on the Vietnam People's Army Officers, the revised Law on People’s Police, and revised Law on Vocational Training.
Tomorrow, the NA is scheduled to vote to adopt the UN Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment and the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
The 8th session of the 13th NA will close tomorrow afternoon.
