NA discusses institutionalizing people's right to mastery
(VOVWORLD) -The National Assembly on Friday listened to the report on the verification of the draft Law on Implementation of Grassroots Democracy read by Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra.

She said that the draft law has many new points in democracy practice in agencies and units such as: supplementing forms of information disclosure, collecting opinions through the internal information system, posting on portals and websites information of agencies and units; supplementing the form of supervision through collecting votes of confidence, voting of confidence for leadership and management positions in agencies and units according to regulations of competent agencies.
Regarding democracy practice at enterprises, the draft law stipulates that employees can decide on the payment rates for social and charity funds at enterprises; regulations on making distinctions in terms of content, form, order and procedures for inspection workers and supervisors. The draft’s in-depth provisions on the democracy practice in state-owned enterprises will create a mechanism for employees at enterprises to exercise their ownership rights, ensure the principle of democratic centralism in the operation of enterprises, and contribute to improving the efficiency of management and use of investment resources of the State.
Also on Friday, the National Assembly deputies discussed the revised Law on Emulation and Commendation and Project of revised Law on Insurance Business.
