NA discusses social economic development in 2018
(VOVWORLD) - The National Assembly on Thursday reviewed the Government’s supplementary report on socio-economic and State budget performance last year and early months of this year.
The Government’s report said the socio-economic performance in the early months of 2019 continued to show good signs, with all 12 targets achieved and a growth rate of 7.08%, a record high since 2008 and ranking Vietnam one of the best economic performers in the world.

Deputy Be Minh Duc of Cao Bang province said: “This is an impressive economic progress in the context of independent and self-reliant, stable economy, well controlled inflation, political stability and an improved international image. These are attributed to the government’s creative and determined governance as well as all-out efforts from all political system, ministries and people.”
Deputy Cao Dinh Thuong of Phu Tho province said more incentives should be created for the corporate sector: “The government should further analyze growth generated by the FDI sector to renovate incentives for domestic businesses. Administrative reform and decentralization should be promoted to ensure flexible implementation of major projects to fuel rapid and sustainable development.”
