(VOVworld) – The National Assembly Standing Committee approved a draft ordinance on market management on Tuesday. Its aim is to establish a single taskforce from the central to the local level to prevent and deal with the illegal goods trade. The ordinance clarifies the authority and functions of market inspectors and management units as well as the responsibilities of and coordination between related agencies, organizations, and individuals.

National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung stressed the need to strengthen market management to prevent fraud and the sale of hazardous goods. He urged effective implementation of the ordinance towards developing a law on market management.
