(VOVworld) – The National Assembly’s Standing Committee continued its 31
st session on Thursday to debate the revised law on the Special Consumption Tax.

The deputies agreed on the necessary to revise the law to meet national socio-economic development and international norms to support production and consumption. The revised law will adopt supplements to match reality, ensure clarity of the legal system, guarantee a stable income for the state budget, boost administrative reform, and improve tax management. Most of the deputies agreed to a proposal to raise a special consumption tax on tobacco.
