NA Standing Committee debates revised Competition Law

They agreed on the need to revise the Competition Law to fine-tune legal frameworks to ensure fair competition between economic sectors. Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh said: “In the draft law on competition, we must ensure independence and equality of an agency as well as the transparency between state management and business governance”.

National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan stressed the importance of revising the Law on Competition to meet the demands of the new situation and the current extensive international integration. She said the scaling of the law should not overlap and contradict to current laws and should ensure its feasibility. The same day, the NA Standing Committee discussed the draft law on cyber security.
