(VOVworld) – On Tuesday’s working session, the National Assembly Standing Committee gave opinions to the draft supervision program of the legislature and its standing committee for 2017, on the legislature’s law and ordinance building program for 2017, and draft adjustments to the law and ordinance building program in 2016.

NA Deputy Chairman Do Ba Ty said the legislature’s supervisory program will begin from the third session of the 14th National Assembly focusing on the Government’s reports on the implementation of socio-economic development and state budget tasks in the first half of this year and measures for the remaining months.
Also high on the agenda will be the settlement of voters’ recommendations sent to the second session of the 14th NA and deputies’ Q&A session. The NA will focus on macro issues which can affect people’s life.
Six major issues are proposed for discussion. They are the implementation of the law on quality management, food safety and hygiene from 2011 to 2016, the investment in transport works under the BOT model, state administrative reforms until 2020, post-graduate and vocational training in line with job generation, the issuance of policies to support fishermen and develop marine economy, and waste treatment in industrial zones, craft villages, and residential areas.
NA Standing Committee members will comment on the structure, organization, and members of the government in the 14th NA; preparations for the first session of the 14th legislative body, and the moving of the NA Television Channel from Radio the Voice of Vietnam to the NA Office.
