(VOVWORLD) -The National Assembly Standing Committee began its one-day 53rd session on Monday in Hanoi.

The session will comment on the first adjustment to the structure and the number of representatives from central and local agencies and organizations to be nominated as deputies of the 15th National Assembly.
The Committee members will give opinions on the regulations on the number of full-time deputies of the People's Council of Hanoi city if eligible.
At this session, the National Assembly Standing Committee will also comment on the work report for the 2016-2021 tenure of the Government and the work review reports of the 14th term of the National Assembly.
The election of deputies to the 15th National Assembly and People's Councils for the 2021-2026 term will take place on May 23.
