NA Standing Committee prepares for NA’s 8th session

(VOVworld)- The National Assembly Standing Committee on Wednesday discussed preparations for the upcoming 8th session of the 13th National Assembly. In their reports on preparations for the session, National Assembly deputy delegations and the relevant agencies agreed on the agenda and proposed to include government reports on the East Sea, the implementation of the Ordinance on Social Beneficiaries and the situation of Vietnamese workers overseas. Some deputies recommend increasing discussions on the draft revisions to the Laws on NA Organization, Elections of National Assembly deputies and People’s Council representatives, and the program on school text book reform and the time of Q&A sessions. The 8th session of the 13th National Assembly is scheduled to open on October 20th at the new Parliament House. On the same day, the deputies discussed reports by the Supervision Delegation and the Government regarding the enforcement of law and policies on climate change response in the Mekong River Delta.
