(VOVworld) - National Assembly Vice Chairwoman Tong Thi Phong on Wednesday received a delegation from the Laos–Vietnam Friendship Association, led by Chairman Vilayvong Bouddakham.

Ms. Phong said she believed the Lao delegation’s visit will contribute to consolidating cooperation between the two Parties and governments. She said Vietnam will work closely with Laos to successfully organize celebrations for the 55th anniversary of Vietnam-Laos diplomatic relations, the 40th anniversary of the signing of the Vietnam–Laos Treaty of Amity and Cooperation, and the opening ceremony of the Vietnam-Lao historical revolution relic sites in Son La. Vice Chairwoman Phong urged the Vietnam-Laos and Laos-Vietnam Friendship Associations to increase the dissemination of information about the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries, especially to youths.
