At a meeting with Mr. Chungong on the sidelines of the 148th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU-148) in Geneva on Tuesday, Mr. Phuong expressed his hope that the IPU Secretary General will help the Vietnamese National Assembly in hosting important IPU events, like the World Conference of Speakers of Parliamentarians.

Mr. Chungong applauded Vietnam's contributions to IPU activities and its active participation in discussion sessions at IPU-148, where Mr. Phuong made recommendations on promoting parliamentary diplomacy.
