NA Vice Chairwoman meets UN Resident Coordinator in Vietnam
(VOVWORLD) -Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly (NA) Tong Thi Phong has said that over the past more than 40 years of membership of the UN, Vietnam has always been a proactive and responsible member, well performing roles assigned by the UN.

Ms. Phong made the statement at a reception in Hanoi on Friday for Kamal Malhotra, UN Resident Coordinator and UN Development Program’s Resident Representative to Vietnam. She applauded the UN for, via its representative offices in Vietnam, providing effective support for the Vietnamese NA and said that Vietnam will continue to be a responsible member of the UN to ensure peace, stability, cooperation and development.
Mr. Malhotra repeated the UN commitment to working closely with the Vietnamese NA to uphold its supervisory and legislative role and achieve the 2030 UN Agenda on Sustainable Development.
