(VOVworld) – Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc and Laos’ Deputy Prime Minister Somsavad Lengsavat attended the signing ceremony of a 152 million USD credit contract of the Nammo 2 hydro-power plant project in Laos’ Xieng Khouang province.

The ceremony took place as the two leaders attended the 38^th meeting of the two countries’ intergovernmental committee on bilateral cooperation held in Vientiane on Sunday. The Nam Mo 2 power plant will have a total capacity of 120 MW and a capital investment of 225 million USD, 152 million of which will come from the Vietnam Bank for Investment and Development (BIDV). The project began in October and is scheduled for completion in January, 2019.
