(VOVworld) – National Assembly deputies voted on Wednesday to approve a resolution on the 2013 state budget balance sheet. Total state budget collection in 2013 was 50 billion USD including the money left over from the previous year while total budget spending was 59 billion USD.

Later, lawmakers heard appraisal reports on the draft Law on Hydrometeorology. The draft Law was compiled based on the implementation over the past 2 decades of an ordinance on exploiting and protecting hydro-meteorological works and other related legal documents, as well as practical demands for hydrometeorological activities to mitigate natural disasters and better manage water resources, transport, construction, and hydro-power plants. The draft Law includes supplements regarding lessons learned from other countries’ experiences in the field to meet Vietnam’s emerging demands in the new context.
