The Vietnamese top legislator said his visit aims to promote relations between the two countries, including relations between parties, parliaments, governments, peoples, and localities. Vietnam always welcomes Indian businesses in general and those of Kerala State in particular to promote investment in Vietnam in such fields as manufacturing, automotive supporting industries, information and communication technology, renewable energy, high-tech agriculture, and innovation, he said.
With the advantage of a long coastline and abundance of rivers and streams, Kerala State has many things in common with localities of Vietnam, Mr. Vijayan said, suggesting that the two sides cooperate in agriculture, growing pepper, coffee, rubber and seafood. Kerala can also support Vietnamese localities in information technology and intensive English training, he added.
