(VOVworld) – National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan arrived at Budapest International Airport on Saturday (local time), beginning her 5-day official visit to Hungary at the invitation of Hungarian National Assembly Speaker Laszlo Kover.

Ms. Ngan was welcomed at the airport by Somfai Zoltan, Head of the Protocol Department of Hungary’s National Assembly, Nguyen Thanh Tuan, Vietnamese Ambassador to Hungary, and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Hungary.

On the same day, receiving the Vietnamese top legislator, the Deputy Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly, said the visit deepens the political, economic, and social relations between the two countries. Ms. Ngan said she believes the visit will continue to consolidate and boost the traditional friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Hungary.
