At a reception for Russian Ambassador Konstantin Vasilievich in Hanoi on Wednesday, the NA Chairwoman said she hoped bilateral ties would further develop comprehensively.  She said she would visit Russia for the conference of female leaders in St. Petersburg in 2018.

National Assembly leader Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan receives  Japanese Ambassador Fukada Hiroshi

At a meeting with Japanese Ambassador Fukada Hiroshi on the same day, Ms. Ngan praised the cooperation between the two legislative bodies. She asked Japan to help Vietnam in coping with salt intrusion in the Mekong River Delta and drought in the Central Highlands. The ambassador said Japan would continue to provide ODA for Vietnam and help it to cope with climate change. He said a number of delegations from the Japanese Parliament would visit Vietnam in August to strengthen bilateral cooperation.

Receiving the Cuban Ambassador Herminio Lopez Diaz, Ms Ngan praised Cuba’s achievements in socio-economic development and external relations affairs, especially the normalization of relations with the US. The Cuban Ambassador promised to do his utmost to boost bilateral cooperation with Vietnam
