(VOVworld) – The 14^th National Assembly convened a plenary meeting on Friday to discuss the implementation of socio-economic tasks and state budget in the first half of the year and measures to obtain set targets in the second half.

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said that in the reviewed period GDP growth was 5.52%, 0.8% lower than in the same period last year. A report by the National Assembly’s Economic Committee said that in order to reach the GDP target for the whole year, GDP in the second half must be 7.6%. This is difficult to be achieved. Vietnam will not looser its monetary and fiscal policies.
