National Assembly Q&A: More dialogues needed
(VOVworld) – Voters and National Assembly deputies have described the just-concluded Q&A session of the 5th meeting of the 13th National Assembly as frank and responsible. Deputies put clear questions to ministers, who answered straight to the point. The explanation by 4 ministers were added by 7 other ministers and 2 prime ministers. Deputy Duong Trung Quoc, representing Dong Nai province, said: “The Q&A session aims to clarify issues of public concerns. It’s more important that there should be changes after each hearing. The deputy prime minister or prime minister should be available on behalf of the government to answer most-concerned questions and related ministers should add more explanations of important issues”.

National Assembly deputies and voters have taken into consideration the context of economic recession while assessing the government and ministers. But they said clear Q&As are needed to find the final solutions. Deputy Le Nhu Tien, representing Quang Tri province, suggested: “There should be more time for direct talks between National Assembly deputies and ministers. Each session reserves only two- and-a-half day for such talks. It’s difficult to reach the desired effectiveness”.
After each Q&A part and the whole two- and-a-half day Q&A session, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung summarized key tasks that the questioned ministry should carry out. And the handling of issues raised the Q&A session should be reported to the National Assembly at the next meeting.
