National Assembly Standing Committee comments on Environment Law
(VOVWORLD) -The National Assembly Standing Committee closed its 47th session on Wednesday. Earlier the same day, deputies commented on the revised Law on Environmental Protection.
National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan suggested that primary assessment of environmental impacts and project classification should be reviewed to address difficulties. Ministries should take charge of cooperation and decentralization of authority at provincial levels in environmental impact assessment.
Chairwoman Ngan commented on household solid wastes treatment: “We should have a comprehensive communications campaigns to ensure the law’s enforcement in reality and public behavior changes. Solid waste segmentation at source should be introduced in each and every household as a common practice.”
Delegates also commented on a strategy to develop state audit by 2030 and a bad debt settlement resolution for credit institutions.
