(VOVworld)- The 6^th session of the National Assembly’s Committee for Social Affairs opened in Hanoi on Monday. The deputies praised the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs’ performance this year with achievements recorded in vocational training, employment, policies for social beneficiaries and the poor, and child care and protection. Over the past 8 months, the Ministry created more than 990,000 jobs achieving 62% of the year’s plan. The poverty rate was estimated to have been reduced to 7.6% this year. The same day, the Committee discussed the implementation of the sector’s budget plan for this year and estimates for next year.
