The main focus will be on improving the efficiency of the committee’s activities, and supervising the implementation of the Vietnamese Youth Development Strategy until 2020. The Committee also collected opinions and recommendations from young people, scientists and managers to revise the 2005 Youth Law and related decrees. Duong Van An, Vice Chairman of the National Committee on Youth of Vietnam, said: "It is necessary to further supervise the implementation of the Vietnamese Youth Development Strategy from 2011 to 2020, as well as the laws and policies related to the youth. We also need to coordinate with relevant Ministries and sectors to fine-tune policies towards the young, talented volunteers. It is essential to build a reliable mechanism of preferential loans to generate jobs for the ethnic and disadvantaged youth groups. Young people should be encouraged to do business in remote and disadvantaged areas, as well as borders and islands".
