National database should be completed by 2023: PM
(VOVWORLD) - 2023 will be a year of forming and make full use of data to create new values, so a shared national database should be completed by then, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh said at Sunday’s meeting to review one year of implementing a project on developing the application of population database, e-identification, and e-authentication.

53 essential public services should go online and institutions and mechanisms should be fine-tuned to create a favorable legal corridor for national digital transformation, he said.
The PM noted that 266 hamlets and villages have yet accessed power and Internet services and greater efforts should be made to leave no one behind.
According to the National Committee on Digital Transformation, 16 important documents on digital transformation were issued in 2022, including a national strategy on digital economic development until 2025 with a vision to 2030.
The speed of broadband Internet and mobile Internet has improved significantly, ranking 45th and 52nd in the world, and is higher than the world's average.
