(VOVWORLD) - Various activities were held in Ho Chi Minh City on Sunday to mark Vietnam’s 73rd National Day on September 2.
This includes an art performance entitled “Vietnam – the glory path” at the Ho Chi Minh monument park, depicting Vietnam’s glorious national construction and defense. Also on Sunday evening, Ho Chi Minh City authorities staged 15-minute firework displays near Sai Gon river and Dam Sen Cultural Park. "This is the first time I watched a firework display in a very close distance. The display has really added joys to our celebrations of National Day.", said Nguyen Xuan Hai of HCMC’s Binh Thanh district.
Phan Thiet city of Binh Thuan province has been a popular tourist attraction during this year’s National Day holiday from September 1 to 3.
Visitors enjoy local scenic spots, life of fishermen, and historical relic sites. Pham Thi Bach Hue, a tourist from Ho Chi Minh City, said: “I have visited this place for 3 days and tried local food of Phan Thiet. I toured some sites that I have never been before.”
Binh Thuan Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism says during the National Day holiday, the province has welcomed nearly 40,000 visitors.
Ba Ria Vung Tau province is hosting the Sea Festival 2018 to mark the 73rd National Day, welcoming 150,000 tourist arrivals over the past week.
