(VOVWORLD) - The 14th National Radio Festival, themed “Radio - Innovation and Diversity”, will take place from the 24th to the 27th of this month in Cao Lanh city, Dong Thap province.

Addressing a press conference on Wednesday at the National Radio Center, 58 Quan Su street, Hanoi, the organizers said the participants include 62 radio and television stations nationwide, 16 affiliates of the Voice of Vietnam, the Military Broadcasting Center, and the Department of Communications of the Ministry of Public Security.
315 entries are classified as news reportage, interview, thematic radio program and talk show, live broadcast, radio program in ethnic minority languages, and radio drama.

Tran Minh Hung, Vice President of the Voice of Vietnam, said the festival’s theme is associated with this year's World Radio Day, which is focusing on innovation and diversity in topics, targeted audiences, and genres in order to develop the broadcasting industry in a new era. The information conveyed to the public must be up-to-date, accurate, and embrace the breath of life.
VOV Vice President Tran Minh Hung said: “231 entries of six genres were qualified for the final round. The entries has been of good and equal quality. The National Radio Festival is a chance for journalists to meet and share their professional experience.”
This year’s National Radio Festival will award 20 gold, 53 silver, 72 bronze prizes, 82 certificates of merit, and 6 special prizes for 'talented host'.
There will be a workshop on communication technology in the digital age, an international workshop on changing perceptions and social behavior through radio dramas, and an exhibition on radio equipment and technology.
