(VOVWORLD) - A national SMS campaign to raise funds for the poor was launched in Hanoi on Monday.
The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue and organized by the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Ministry of Information and Communications, and the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs.
From Monday to December 31, the National Humanitarian Portal 1400 is open for text messages. Each message sent to 1408 will contribute 20,000 VND (90 cents) to support the poor.
