(VOVworld) – The 17^th session of the National Steering Committee for Judicial Reform convened in Hanoi on Wednesday to review activities in 2014 and discuss plans for the new year.

Chairing the meeting, President Truong Tan Sang praised the judicial sector for completing and institutionalizing a number of draft laws in line with the 2013 Constitution. He said that in 2015 Party congresses at all levels will be held and many important laws will be revised so judicial reform should focus on determining the functions and jurisdictions of judicial agencies, training judicial officials, and increasing transparency.
