(VOVWORLD) - The Prime Minister has issued the National Strategy on the Fourth Industrial Revolution by 2030, whose main objective is to take full advantage of opportunities presented by IR 4.0.
The strategy is to apply advanced technologies, develop new technologies, promote economic restructuring, and accelerate the digital economy.
Vietnam hopes to join the top 40 performers in the Global Innovation Index, the top 30 in the International Telecommunication Union’s Global Cybersecurity Index, and the top 50 in the UN e-Government Development Index by 2030. Vietnam also targets the digital economy contributing 30% of GDP and productivity increasing 7.5% annually.
The PM has also approved a program designed to have women holding key positions in 60% of state management agencies and local administrators by 2025, and 75% by 2030.
To realize these targets, the program proposes policies, a legal framework, and enhanced training, and exchanges.
