New COVID-19 cases rise, 9,000 recover in 24 hours
(VOVWORLD) -The Ministry of Health said on Friday that Vietnam recorded 1,805 new cases in the past 24 hours, up 100 cases, while 9,000 recoveries were reported.
The Ministry said that new strains of the virus are likely to continue to appear or evolve, which will reduce immunity and cause disease resurgence. Two sub-variants BA.4 and BA.5 of the Omicron have been recorded in some localities and the monitoring of variants’ circulation has been strengthened. Localities were also urged to speed up COVID-19 vaccination.
