The transaction and an earlier shipment of lychees to Japan, resulted from an online food and agricultural product business matching event held this month. All lychees exported to Japan are labeled with itrace247 stamps, which allow consumers to learn more about their origin.
Besides the Japanese supermarkets, many Vietnamese-owned stores in Japan have imported lychees to serve the Vietnamese community.
According to the Vietnam Trade Office in Japan, Vietnam will export about 1,000 tons of fresh lychee to Japan this year. The Office said it will connect Vietnamese agencies with Japanese organizations to promote Vietnamese lychees to more Japanese families.
