(VOVworld)-Recently-appointed NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg says NATO wants constructive relations with Russia even as it increases its presence in Eastern Europe.

Stoltenberg, who is visiting Poland, said NATO will continue to respect its international commitments, which include a post-Cold War deal with Moscow concerning Western military deployments in former members of the old Soviet bloc. Stoltenberg said that there is no contradiction between a strong NATO and building constructive relations with Russia.
