Ninh Thuan's pomelo receives code for export to US
(VOVWORLD) -Pomelo grown in Phuoc Binh commune, Bac Ai district, in the south-central province of Ninh Thuan has received a farming area code, making it eligible for future exports to the US.

Dang Kim Cuong, Director of the provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, said that pomelo is Ninh Thuan’s first agricultural product to get the code granted by the US Department of Agriculture (USDA)'s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS).
The code for 23ha of pomelo in Phuoc Binh commune will come into effect from June 22.
Pham Dung, Director of the provincial Sub-Department of Cultivation and Plant Protection, said the move will pave the way for other typical farm produce of Ninh Thuan to penetrate the global markets.
