Noi Bai International Airport planned to serve 100 million passengers by 2050
(VOVWORLD) - The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has just submitted a report to the Ministry of Transport on revised planning of Noi Bai International Airport until 2030 and a vision to 2050.

According to a proposal by France’s consulting company for airport architecture and engineering design – ADPi, Noi Bai International Airport will be planned as a civil-military airport, reaching level 4F of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO), which can operate large aircraft such as B777-X, B747-8, B777-300ER and A380.
By 2030, Noi Bai, which is 30 km northwest from Hanoi center, will have a capacity of 63 million passengers per year and 2 million tons of cargo per year. This figure will increase to 100 million passengers and 5 million tons of cargo by 2050.
Last year, Noi Bai International Airport welcomed about 29 million passengers.
