(VOVWORLD) - North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Yong-ho on Monday stressed that North Korea is a responsible nuclear power and intercontinental ballistic missile state.

Ri told the ASEAN Regional Forum in the Philippines that Pyongyang has “no intention to use nuclear weapons or threaten with nuclear weapons against any other country except the US, unless it joins a military action by the US against North Korea”.
Ri criticized Washington for internationalizing the Korean Peninsula issue by calling North Korea’s nuclear weapons a global threat. He said the escalating tensions on the Korean Peninsula were created by the US.
