North, South Korea ask UN to circulate Panmunjeom Declaration as official document
(VOVWORLD) - Ambassadors of the two Koreas on Thursday sent a letter to Secretary General Antonio Guterres and General Assembly President Miroslav Lajcak, requesting that they circulate the “Panmunjom Declaration on Peace, Prosperity and Reunification of the Korean Peninsula” as an official UN document, North Korea’s UN Mission reported on Friday.

North Korea said the request shows full determination of the two Koreas to keep advancing the North-South ties without deviation and to demonstrate that they have entered definitely the new orbit of peace, the orbit of reconciliation and cooperation.
South Korea's Presidential Palace spokesman Kim Eui-kyom told a press conference on Friday that the request will be submitted to South Korean National Assembly on Tuesday.
