(VOVworld) - President Obama said Sunday that the US, the region, and the world will be safer thanks to the recent nuclear deal with Iran. Saturday, January 16th, marked a milestone in preventing Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, Obama said, adding that what is most important is that the historic result was achieved through diplomacy. He noted that there remain differences between the US and Iran that the nuclear deal does not erase. The US will continue its sanctions against Iran’s ballistic missile system.
