OIF bolsters cooperation with Vietnam in French language teaching and education
(VOVWORLD) - Vietnamese Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son held talks with Secretary-General of the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF) Louise Mushikiwabo on Thursday in Hanoi.

Minister Son said Vietnam would continue to be an active and responsible member of the OIF. He suggested practical solutions to promote trade as well as French language teaching and education in French.

He asked for the organization’s support in helping the training of French language of Vietnamese peace keeping missions staff under the UN. He asked for the organization’s upholding of international law in ensuring peace, freedom of navigation and aviation, prosperity and stability in the East Sea. OIF Secretary-General Louise Mushikiwabo agreed on the proposal and pledged more efforts to boost cooperation between Vietnam and the Union of Africa for all parties’ interests.
