(VOVworld) – India’s news agency IBNLive reported on Thursday that Oil Minister Dharmendra Pradhan had declared that the seven oil rigs Vietnam has agreed with India's ONGC Videsh Limited to explore were situated in Vietnam’s territorial waters.

The agreements were signed during the second day of the four-day state visit of President Pranab Mukherjee who held talks with his Vietnamese counterpart Truong Tan Sang in Hanoi.

Minister Pradhan was speaking to reporters after his return to India after accompanying President Pranab Mukherjee on a four-day state visit to Vietnam. Pradhan said the drilling was a commercial operation.
