Online conference on traffic safety
(VOVworld) – Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc has called for stricter measures to ensure traffic safety. Phuc, who is also Chairman of the National Committee for Traffic Safety, was speaking at Saturday’s online conference with leaders of provinces and cities to implement the Prime Minister’s decree on tightened measures to prevent road accidents. Deputy Prime Minister Phuc said: “Traffic police, Ministry of Public Security and the National Committee for Traffic Safety, including its chairman should be well aware of their responsibilities and strictly deal with authorities of area where accidents occur frequently. Training institutions and register agencies which violate the laws should be strictly dealt with. In addition to criminal and administrative punishment of offending drivers, even the transport businesses should be dealt with to ensure the rule of law”.
Deputy Prime Minister Phuc stressed that localities should map out concrete plans and take firm measures to ensure traffic safety.
