The show, produced by AMD Việt Nam and its partners, aims to seek new talents in rap and hip hop as well as bring the music closer to Vietnamese audiences.
Creating Beat-Shooting Rap invited DJ Minh Trí, one of Hà Nội’s leading music producers and mixers, to work as a main coach.
Minh Trí, 31, has been involved in the electronic music scene since 2005. He has performed hip hop, House, Funk and Breakbeat, and produced famous beats. He has worked with music bands and pop idols and has also performed in big concerts and music festivals in Hà Nội, HCM City, Đà Nẵng and Huế.
He also works as a contemporary dancer and has played leading roles in dozens of TV shows and films.
Minh Trí now owns S.I.N.E., a TV producing and entertainment agency in Hà Nội.
Recent years have seen the rise of rap stars in the Vietnamese music industry like Đen Vâu or BigDaddy. Last year, two reality TV shows called Rap Việt and King of Rap dedicated to rap caused a stir in the industry.

While Rap Việt is adapted from The Rapper of Thailand, a show widely known in Asia, King of Rap has the copyright from South Korea’s Show Me the Money rap competition. The first two competitions encouraged young rappers to develop their career.
The full video of the performances of the contestants in the first episode of Rap Việt, uploaded on YouTube, has topped 19 million views, while the King of Rap reached nearly 6 million views after a week of release online.
Creating Beat-Shooting Rap launched its selective rounds on February 22.
The contestants should upload their videos on their Facebook with hashtag #IchooseAMD #AMD #RyzenMobile. They should send the video link to AMD Việt Nam before April 11.
Five best videos of the selective rounds will receive VNĐ10 million (US$450) in cash each.
More information about the contest can be found on the website www.amdvietnam.com.
