(VOVworld) - OPEC Secretary General Mohammad Sanusi Barkindo said on Wednesday that OPEC is optimistic that production cuts will lead to a recovery in the market.

At an energy forum in Abu Dhabi, the OPEC chief did not take a position on whether oil ministers will extend the cuts when they meet in Vienna next month. He said OPEC’s 24 members will make a decision that will be in the best interest of producers, consumers, and the global oil industry as a whole.
