The workshop on opportunities and challenges for radio in digital era

The participants stressed the need for journalists to produce news in new way to attract more people to update news on the official media channels. Le Quoc Minh, Deputy General Director of the Vietnam News Agency, said: “Streaming audio is a new way to promote interaction with the readers and generate more revenue. In the development of social network, we need to produce the contents that are more professional”.

Pham Trung Tuyen, Deputy Head of the VOV traffic channel, said online radio is a  new trend that may change people’s habit to access information in the near future. Thus, radio stations need to further invest in online radio, as well as technology and human resource.
