Outgoing US ambassador: Vietnam is important to US Indo-Pacific strategy
(VOVWORLD) - Outgoing US Ambassador Daniel Kritenbrink on Wednesday said he is confident in the promising future of US-Vietnam relations.

At a press briefing in Hanoi on Wednesday to review his term in Vietnam, Kritenbrink told reporters that Vietnam is one of the US’s key partners, adding that both countries are working vigorously to develop their ties. He praised Vietnam’s contributions to resolving regional and global issues.
Vietnam is a key player in the US’s Indo-Pacific strategy. Their long fruitful relationship, built on trust and mutual respect, will flourish in the new period, said Kritenbrink. He said US leaders are looking forward to close cooperation with Vietnam’s new leaders.
