(VOVWORLD) - 64 businesses were granted the “Businesses for employees” award in 2023 at a ceremony on Sunday co-organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL), the Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).

Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai told the ceremony: "During the development of each enterprise, employees are the production resource and the key factor affecting the enterprise. They create economic values, nurture corporate culture, and contribute to the enterprises’ overall growth and development. Building a stable, sustainable, and progressive relationship is a factor of businesses development."
He recommended: "To achieve a harmonious relationship, businesses should consider each employee an invaluable asset and each employee should also be fully aware of their responsibility for common development.”
Vietnam now has about 910,000 operating businesses, 31,000 cooperatives, and 5.5 million business households, totally contributing more than 60% of national GDP.
